Goldney Hall is a gem in the University of Bristol's crown, offering award winning self-catering accommodation embedded in a charming ten acre listed garden in the heart of Georgian Clifton. Clifton is a picturesque suburb of Bristol known for its architecture and green spaces, including a mixed selection of busy shopping and nightlife areas making this an ideal place to visit. 

Offering single ensuite rooms with a spacious kitchen diner, sharing up to 6 people in the flats.

History to the present day

Built by Thomas Goldney in 1714 and has inspired generation after generation ever since. 

Food and Drinks

The accommodation is offered on a self catering basis with a fully equipped kitchen to allow you to cook your own meals.

A very short walk away from Clifton Village where you will find ample restaurants and bars.

Grounds and gardens

The historic gardens have a number of features including a charming gothic folly tower and an ornamental canal adorned with flowering lilies in summer months.

Luggage can be stored temporarily.

The linen and towels are included and changed on a weekly basis. Rooms are checked if required every other day. Public areas are serviced daily. Bedrooms are equipped with desk, chair, wardrobe and ensuite bathroom.
 
Noise: Please keep noise to a minimum and be considerate to other guests in the flat, especially if returning late.

If arriving after 5.00pm please report to Clifton Hill House and call the telephone number noted on your booking receipt listed under 'Entry Info' and a member of staff will come and meet you. 

By Car:

Exit M4 at junction 19 marked for the M32. Follow the M32 into Bristol. At St. James Barton roundabout take the second exit onto B4051/Marlborough Street. Continue onto A4018/Queen’s Rd. Turn left at B4466/Berkeley Place. Take the 3rd right onto Constitution Hill follow at the top of the hill turn left. Take the next left into Goldney Avenue and the car park entrance is immediately on your left.

By Train:

Temple Meads is the closest train station. The number 8 and 9 bus services stop in Clifton village which is a 5 minute walk from the Hall.

By Air:

Bristol International Airport is only 13 kilometres to the south of the city.  The Bristol Flyer provides a bus service from the airport into the city centre. For more information please visit: https://flyer.bristolairport.co.uk/
