Mr Richard Neale (Churchill College, Cambridge, January 2015): Fascinating as an experience ..1960's architecture on a grandiose scale...extraordinary alumni and achievements in just 50 years.....attentive staff with v. good esprit de corps...easy parking and just a stiff walk from the this wonderful town... rooms modern in appearance but heating in winter needs a rethink as with pillows etc. Overall wouldn't have missed the time spent there.

Mrs Ragna Eriksen (Clare College, Cambridge, January 2015): Very helpful staff and god service. Clean and spacious room. We loved the stay at Clare and will come back again, where we hopefully have time for breakfast.

Mrs Gillian Robb (Homerton College, Cambridge, January 2015): The room was exceptionally basic....clean, but could definitely be doing with an upgrade. Staff in the Porters Lodge were lovely and very helpful.

Mr David Whittington (Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, January 2015): A traditional no frills Oxbridge college with excellent ambience. Staff helpful, and food good. Room was warm and spacious.

Mrs Lilian Wo (Christ's College, Cambridge, December 2014): The men work in Porters' Lodge are very friendly and absolutely helpful. They can solve any problems for you.

Mr Paul Hickey (Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, December 2014): The staff were really polite, helpful and imformative about the local area.

Mrs Liz Wilson (Clare College, Cambridge, December 2014): Staying in Clare is so convenient and all staff were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were clean and cosy. As my husband and I are Clare alumni, the chance to bring our children here was magic!

Mr Thomas Haywood (Churchill College, Cambridge, December 2014): Our room included tea, coffee and piano facilities. A piano is now my new standard for a hotel room (buck up your ideas premier inn). The checkout time was a little early for my liking and the fried bread with the breakfast a little too enthusiastically cooked. However, the aforementioned piano more than made up for this comparatively minor in inconvenience. Top job.

Ms Rebeca Palma (Christ's College, Cambridge, December 2014): I asked for a quiet room and I got it. The Porters and the staff at the Upper Hall (where breakfast is served) were very kind and the room was clean. Breakfast was very good (I would only change their brand of orange juice). The college is beautiful and the location is unbeatable. I have loved my experience and would stay here again.

Miss Claire Beecroft (St Catharine's College, Cambridge, December 2014): I didn't make it for breakfast! So cant comment. The check out time is a little early at 10am but I will probably be back. Such a magnificent building and perfect location!Thank you.

Miss Glory Liu (Clare College, Cambridge, December 2014): Was great to stay at Clare in the college rooms. Earlier check-in would have been nice, but the porters were very helpful and let me store my bags in the luggage room.

Mr Adam Byrne (The Stephen Hawking Building, (Gonville & Caius College), Cambridge, December 2014): Wonderful stay. Thanks so much!

Mrs valerie roper (Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, December 2014): helpful porter staff , thanks

Prof Terence Spithill (Downing College, Cambridge, December 2014): Very friendly staff, very helpful, good location We stayed in John Cleese's old room Perhaps advise people re history of your rooms

Mr Chris Corin (The Stephen Hawking Building, (Gonville & Caius College), Cambridge, December 2014): Really useful to have parking. The College Porters were extremely helpful and professional. 10 minute walk to breakfast was no problem to us.

Dr Janne Kurtakko (Christ's College, Cambridge, December 2014): For a person interested in academic research and the settings for it, every visit to an old Cambridge or Oxford college is a relief - such places do still exist. Christ's college has architectural layers from many centuries, which is one thing that makes it interesting. The personnel - especially Porter - left little to be desired. And that silence! Had a very pleasant stay. Many thanks.

Mrs Jane Hart (The Stephen Hawking Building, (Gonville & Caius College), Cambridge, December 2014): Good service by porters, room immaculate. Friendly housekeeper who helped us work out how to put the heater on. This was our second stay and we will definitely be back.

Mr Martin Spence (Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, December 2014): The room was spacious, clean, and well-heated. Unfortunately, there were no towels or soap provided, but the porter was able to provide us with towlels when we asked him. The breakfast was outstanding -- the "full English" itself, as well as the warm welcome and the splending dining hall.

Mrs Emma Guard (Christ's College, Cambridge, December 2014): Porters so welcoming. Wonderful environment for me and husband and our friends enjoyed their rooms/stay too . We all stayed at Christ's college a central spot with a fab atmosphere. We had a great time shopping/ eating and staying, thank you.

Mr Daniel Simpson (Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, December 2014): Excellent service, room, facilities and provision (nice towels, soaps, etc.). I've stayed twice at clare before (my own college) but must concede that Sidney Sussex offers a better service.
