Jesus College is situated in central Oxford adjacent to the main shopping street and within sight of Carfax Tower.
The College is pleased to be able to offer accommodation in student bedrooms during the vacation periods, including a mixture of traditional standard, singles and twins with shared bathroom facilities, and more modern, single ensuite rooms. All accommodation offered is located on the main College site or Ship Street, and has central heating.
Your Scout (Housekeeping) will service your room on a daily basis for you.
History to the present day
Founded in 1571, Jesus College is the only College in either Oxford or Cambridge to have been founded during the reign of Elizabeth I.
In 1974, the College became one of the first five men’s colleges to admit women. Famous alumni include T.E. Lawrence (‘Lawrence of Arabia’), former prime minister of Jamaica Norman Manley, and Harold Wilson, our own Prime Minister during the 60s/70s and whose Order of the Garter banner can be seen in the Chapel.
Food and Drinks
A Full English breakfast is included in the price of the accommodation, taken in the Elizabethan Dining Hall between 8.00am and 9.00am daily. The breakfast menu consists of fruit juice, cereal, toast, a full English breakfast with tea or coffee.
Grounds and gardens
Guests are welcome to relax in the College grounds and view the Chapel and the portraits in the Dining Hall.
All bedrooms have tea and coffee making facilities, telephone and internet access with wifi details supplied on check in . A hair dryer is available from the Lodge. Laundry and ironing facilities are available in the College, and a self top up swipe card for the washing machines and dryers can be obtained from the Lodge.

Miss Emma W, January 2016: Jesus College was wonderful and great value for money.
Mr Julian S, November 2015: A delight to stay in this college.
Hr. Tarek I, November 2015: This was the perfect choice for accommodation. The room is a fraction of the cost of a standard hotel in Oxford. It also gives you a real sense of what it is like to live at the university. The Jesus College and its adjoining chapel and dining hall are absolutely beautiful.
The room was simple but comfortable. I didn't mind that the shower and bathroom were down the hall. It is, after all, the collegiate experience.
Mrs Bernadette T, November 2015: Had a lovely stay.
Mr christopher R, November 2015: It is central and friendly and lively because there are young people about and it is a whole lot nicer than most of the hotels on offer. For an old man there are quite a few stairs and only one loo for quite a few people but that is only to be lumped if you wish to stay in a bit of history!
Ms Roxana H, November 2015: A very successful stay. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the room spacious and comfortable, with tea and coffee making facilities, and the location brilliant. Lovely to be in an old college.
Miss Sara L, November 2015: Really polite and helpful staff and great breakfast. The room was very clean and spacious. Thank you!
Mrs Frances K, November 2015: Very welcoming and hospitable. Charming staff at the lodge. Delicious breakfast and so convenient for town

Professor Kevin Nute (Jesus, Cantab)

Mrs Diana A, October 2015: All aspects of this stay were very good, especially the central historic location. The breakfast was though perhaps a little early for a Sunday morning - between 8 and 9am.

Prof Stephanie H, September 2015: The staff were very helpful and attentive and also posted back my phone charger which I accidentally left plugged in to one of the sockets in the room.

Mr Jordan H, August 2015: An exceptionally warm welcome from very accommodating staff. Air conditioning was very much appreciated.
Miss Danielle T, August 2015: I didn't actually have breakfast as it was a bit early (served 8am - 9am) so can't rate that part of my stay. Overall great location, very peaceful for central location, lovely grounds. Would recommend & stay here again. Would be good if breakfast was served until about 10am on a weekend.
Mrs Claudia D, August 2015: What a find! Great value, easy booking, fab modern room and delightful, helpful staff at Jesus College. V central location too in Oxford. Will definitely stay again and have wholeheartedly recommended to friends already. Thanks!
Mr James V, August 2015: I had a very good time in Oxford. The accommodation provided by Jesus College was spartan (as would be expected), but overall quite comfortable. While the breakfast was ordinary, sitting at the high table was a bit of an experience. All of the staff was very pleasant. Great location.
Ms Laurie P, August 2015: Everything was lovely and the staff so helpful. When I arrived, I didn't have a teapot in my room and they got one for me immediately. Very comfortable and I will definitely recommend Jesus College to my colleagues and return myself.
Ms Eugenia K, August 2015: It was the perfect place for me. Thank you. Special thanks to my scout and the porters. Very helpful. Highly recommended!
Miss Lisa P, August 2015:
Dr Henning P, August 2015:
Dr Dirk-Jan S, August 2015: room was for handicapped people, spacious but bit unhandy with all appliances in shower. Breakfast times were quite early and limited for a weekend visit. Overall value for money very good, and location is superb.
Ms Anna-marie R, August 2015: Very helpful reception - thank you
Mrs Pamela R, August 2015: The only fault I found was how hot the room was when the weather was hot! If there was air-conditioning, it wasn't on and I saw no controls. For two nights, I had the worst time sleeping in the heat. If no air-con, a fan would have been helpful. Once the weather cooled, the room was great!
Mrs Maja G, August 2015: fantastic place !
Mrs Nesta B, August 2015: This is the second time I have stayed at Jesus College Oxford. I cannot fault the efficiency of the booking process nor the excellent quality of the accommodation.
Mrs Frances B, August 2015: The accommodation was excellent, and located right in the heart of Oxford.
Mrs Rosalind J, August 2015: Excellent assistance from security staff, in particular, Joyce and Luke. A lovely small college and so centrally placed.
Prof Graham P, August 2015:
Mr Abdulla A, August 2015: My overall experience was great. The staff were extra friendly and kind and they ensured everything were convenient. Also, they responsed well with my request for early check in (I checkd in almost 5 hours earlier.) So all in all, it was really great.
