Telford is geared for children - the 450 acre Telford Town Park includes Wonderland where nursery rhymes and fairy stories come to life. There's Telford Ski Centre and nearby is Hoo Farm Animal Kingdom - sheep steeplechase, a maze and tractor grand prix. The Telford Steam Railway has steam and diesel rides and a model railway.

Getting to Telford
Telford is a large new town in the borough of Telford and Wrekin and ceremonial county of Shropshire, England, about 13 miles east of Shrewsbury, and 30 miles west of Birmingham
By road: The M54 links Shropshire to the M6, where the toll road bypasses Birmingham. Other major roads serving the county include the A49, A41 and A5.
By train: You can get a direct train into Telford Central from Birmingham (30 to 35 minutes), Wolverhampton (15 to 25 minutes) and stations on the Shrewsbury line. From there, you can catch the free campus shuttle bus or pick up a taxi to the campus (or even walk in about 15 minutes).
By bus: National Express runs coaches into many of the towns in Shropshire and a comprehensive network of local buses can get you from A to B. There is no direct bus service to the Telford Innovation Campus.
By air: Two of the UK’s biggest airports, Birmingham and Manchester, are within easy reach of the county. Between them they are served by around 100 different national and international airlines.
