Churchill College, Cambridge

Always a friendly welcome at the Porters Lodge at Churchill. Fabulous grounds, fascinating brutalist architecture and some outstanding pieces of modern art around the College. En-suite room was very warm, cosy and clean with lovely wooden furnishings. The breakfast was generous with helpful attendant staff. This College is in a great location, easy to walk into the centre of Cambridge but out of the hurly burly of traffic and tourists. It has its own unique sense of space and beauty.

Nice spacious room and good bathroom in interesting building on lovely college grounds. Check-in/out very straightforward and parking available. Arrived to breakfast at 9.20 to be told it was finished! After requesting a refund some croissants were prepared for us and we found some fresh fruit and yoghurt and ended up with a nice breakfast.

Room was cold on the first night and I was informed by the porters that the heating had been turned off. Apparently it is off from April to September. On the second night a kind lady who cleaned the rooms provided me with an electric heater which warmed the room up nicely. :-)

Fairly spacious room with in-room sink and coffee/tea station. Clean. Toilet, shower, and full kitchen on the floor. Commons were not cleaned every day so you must be comfortable with “student” standards of living. Overall, very good price and location.

Better than expected, and would stay here next time. Food choice beyond traditional English breakfast could be expanded to include porridge, yogurt etc. Would be nice, but maybe logistically difficult, to hire bikes from the college.

A gorgeous place, with a pleasant atmosphere. Great location on the outskirts of town, but only 15mins walk from the center of Cambridge. In the future, I'll be staying here any time I'm in Cambridge.

I am very happy with my stay at Chruchill college. The staff were very helpful, the food for the inclusive breakfast was lovely and special dietry-friendly.

Amazing room, very spacious, the staff is very welcoming too (My room's door handle is loose, might need some fixing)
