Overview

Located in the downtown district of Alonso Martínez with it's trendy lounge bars, designer shops and artist hangouts. It has excellent connections with the subway and city buses to allow easy touring around Madrid with it's famous attractions including the Royal Palace, Almudena Cathedral, National Library and theatres.

Accommodation is available during the summer months for students, postgraduates and fellows, offering single, double and triple ensuite rooms, which are fully furnished with air conditioning on a full board basis.

The accomodation is for students only who wish to stay for a minimun of 30 days.

During the academic year from September to June the residence accommodates females only. During the summer holidays it is mixed.

The accommodation was excellent, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. The only problem was that it wasn't at all clear how to check-in if you turned up when the office was closed. I pressed a buzzer and someone remotely let me into the building, but the office was padlocked and I had absolutely no idea how to find someone who could give me the keys to my room - which caused me some concern. Eventually, a group of helpful girls who were staying there went off to the kitchen, which was at the far end of a different floor, and managed to find a staff member. And perhaps the listing should specifically point out that toiletries are not provided (or maybe it did and I just missed that?). Otherwise, everything was excellent!

Directions:

By Underground/Metro: The residence with its superb location is close to two Metro stations Tribunal and Alonso Martínez where you would be able to move quickly around the city.

By Bus: There are also several bus lines nearby: 3, 21, 37, 40, 147 and 149. Direct buses leave from Plaza de Cibeles which is a 15 minute walk. Renfe Atocha and Renfe Chamartin are very well connected from the Residence, a 20-minute underground ride either. Bus station Mendez Alvaro metro 15 - maximum 20 minutes.

Nearest Airport: Adolfo Suarez and Madrid Barajas. Taxis cost aproximately 20-30€ from either airport to the property.
