The Crown Inn is well situated for access to Swindon town centre, M4, the Cotswolds, Cirencester, Gloucester and Oxford. With its major refurbishment, The Crown has come full circle, returning to its former function as an inn - even if its new customers will no longer find accommodation for their horses!

The 20 en suite bedrooms, sumptuous 40-seater restaurant and bar are all furnished and decorated to a high standard, yet still remain in keeping with the historical background of the property.

Swindon has its origin as a small market town. The original Swindon is now known as Old Town. Take time to wander through its quiet courtyards and alleyways or enjoy a vibrant mix of traditional shops and pubs alongside modern outlets and stylish cafes and bars.

Swindon has many attractions that can be enjoyed. A few minutes walk from the town centre is Queen's Park a tranquil oasis of calm away from the busy shopping centre. In Old Town you can find the Swindon Museum & Art Gallery and just a couple of minutes walk away the picturesque Town Gardens, while the nearby park The Lawn has a wealth of ornamental trees, wonderful walks & lakes. You can enjoy the lakes, rolling lawns, ancient avenues, children's play area and even a picnic area in the grounds of historic Lydiard Park.

Come and see wildlife in their natural habitats and a wide range of floral and fauna at Stanton Park or Sevenfields. Extensive areas of Coate Water Country Park are included within the area which has been designated a Site Of Special Scientific Interest, bird watching, walking are popular here, also why not visit The Richard Jefferies Museum, this well known writer was born at Coate.
