Overview

Brooks Hotel Edinburgh is a newly refurbished boutique hotel in the west end of Edinburgh, located 5 mins from Haymarket Train station, or a 10 min walk to Princes Street & Edinburgh Castle, plus 5 minutes from the International Conference Centre.

The 46 bedrooms are all en suite and have been elegantly and sensitively updated recently. The house original features, such as the delicate Victorian crackle glaze bathroom tiles, have been delicately preserved and are improved by the vintage items which decorate each room, handpicked from local antique shops and markets. The sleek modern furniture, stylish designer wallpaper and state-of-the-art important elements such as free Wi-Fi, and flat-screen televisions bring a new and modern look to the spaces.

Please note there is a minimum stay of 2 nights at weekends.

A Full Scottish Breakfast is available to you cooked fresh each morning and comprises locally sourced free-range produce, including unsmoked back bacon, butcher's sausages, free-range eggs (either scrambled, fried or poached), grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, haggis and beans. Alternative options include homemade muesli, granola, yoghurt and fruit compotes. There is also a choice of Carwardine's Fair Trade Tea or Coffee and hot chocolate.

The hotel has an honesty bar situated in the guest lounge, which is well stocked with beers, wine, spirits and soft drinks.

Grounds & Gardens

The hotel has a beautiful courtyard garden, perfect for sundowners in warmer weather.

The Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh can be reached by a short bus drive. All the Art Museums and National Galleries in Edinburgh are Free Entry.

Fancy seeing the Edinburgh Pandas? Then check out Edinburgh Zoo, located on the top of Corstorphine Hill and accessible via the free Safari bus.

The hotel has a 24-hour front desk. All bedrooms are non-smoking and some have disabled access with elevator.

We really enjoyed our stay with you, I cannot think of any negatives apart from our room was on the front so was abit noisy, we got woken up a couple of times. Double glazing would solve this. The room was lovely, very small for a double but lovely all the same. Excellent facilities, very nice staff. The breakfast was fab! We would definately stay with you again if we return. Thank you very much.

Directions: From Edinburgh centre head south-east onto Morrison Link and turn right onto Approach Road and then right onto Dundee Street then turn left onto Grove Street and the destination is on the left.

Nearest train station: Haymarket Station, a five-minute walk from the hotel.

From Edinburgh Airport: From Edinburgh Airport 20 minute bus ride. Bus 100 will drop passengers off near Haymarket station. Although a longer ride, Bus 35 drops off next to the hotel on top of Grove Street.
