Histoire

Penryn Campus, set on the 18th Century Tremough estate, is a shared home for Falmouth University and the University of Exeter in Cornwall.

Koofi Cafe, opens daily, offering a selection of pizza, hot and cold snacks, treats and Starbucks coffee.

There are also many restaurants and places to eat in the centre of Penryn and Falmouth.

Terrains et jardins

The 100 acres Penryn Campus is set amongst the historic gardens of Tremough House, an 18th-century manor house. Visitors can take in the walled garden and orchard, herbaceous beds, sub-tropical planting, Italianate garden and terraces.

Enjoy a stroll around the 18th Century lime avenue and the old drive with pinetum native woodlands, and see the historic rare Rhododendrons, cultivated on the site in the Victorian era.

The campus blends historic sub-tropical planting with newly created landscapes, forming stunning grounds that are a haven for a diverse range of plant and animal species.

All rooms have access to a fully equipped communal kitchen. The communal kitchen/dining areas are fully fitted and furnished to include a dining table, chairs, as well as a fridge/freezer, a microwave, toaster and kettle.

Penryn Campus Shop

The Penryn Campus Shop is open daily for all your essential grocery items, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. 

Koofi Cafe

Koofi Cafe/bar serves Starbucks coffee, along with meals and snacks including divine pizza. There is free WiFi and an outdoor seating area.

Sports Centre

The modern sports centre includes a well-equipped pay-as-you-go gym, with cardiovascular and free weights areas. There are fitness classes, and court hire is available for football, badminton and table tennis and an outdoor multi-use pitch is also available for hire. 

Laundry facilities

Laundry facilities are available to you on-site. Glasney Lodge Reception can issue you with a laundry card that enables you to top up on-line. You will be charged a small deposit and given details of the online link for instructions. The deposit will be refunded on the return of the card.

Saver Card

A complimentary Saver Card giving a discount for the on-site Shop, Sports Centre and local attractions is included with your stay. There are also vouchers for local attractions in the Glasney Lodge Reception. Pick up a booklet on arrival.
