History

King's College was established in 1913 as a residential college for students attending university in Brisbane. The College was originally situated at Kangaroo Point in Brisbane's inner city. In 1955, the College relocated to the St Lucia campus of the University of Queensland.

Food & beverage

Breakfast is included in the B & B room price. There are minimal self-catering facilities including a fridge and microwave in a common area. Tea and coffee facilities are also available. Vending machines offer chips, sweets and soft drinks.

There is a large common Dining Hall where the catering team will cook meals at an additional cost for groups of 20 or more.

The College is located within 5 minutes walking distance of buses and a City Cat (ferry) terminal, a local shopping centre with a small supermarket, several restaurants, a newsagent, liquor store and coffee shops.

Grounds & Gardens

The College is set in beautiful leafy grounds and has a view of the Brisbane River.

Other facilities

The College has wi-fi internet access and an ethernet cable can be obtained for your room if you require one.

There are a couple of common rooms with televisions. There is also a well-equipped gym, half basketball court and 18m pool that can be used by guests.

Laundry facilities are available and free of charge.

Luggage can be stored temporarily.
