Overview

Set in the heart of Oxford's charming centre, New College offers a variety of accommodation options across three unique sites, with rooms ranging from premium ensuite to standard budget.

The premium double ensuite rooms give you the opportunity to stay in the late 17th century Garden Quadrangle set within the College's Old Buildings. These rooms offer a higher quality of furnishings and a great insight inside one of Oxford's oldest Colleges.

The budget ensuite rooms in Bodicote House can offer views of the City Wall, which encloses the College garden. This external accommodation block on Longwall Street just steps away from High Street.

Many of the New College Lane rooms boast views of the Bridge of Sighs and offer an extremely convenient base for your stay in Oxford. These single rooms have shared bathrooms but are only a street away from the Bodleian Library and the Radcliffe Camera.

As part of your stay at New College, you will receive complimentary access to explore the College grounds, subject to opening times and planned closures - the normal admission fee is £8! Please collect a voucher from the Porters Lodge.

Important notice - Staircases/accommodation blocks do not contain passenger lifts and all guests must be aged 18 or over. New College does not allow stag or hen parties. Please also note that there is a 2-night minimum stay at weekends (arriving on a Friday or Saturday).

The setting is magical and the overall experience of staying in a historic and beautiful college in the heart of Oxford can't be beaten. The rooms are as you would expect - basic student rooms - but they were warm, comfortable and quiet with a view of the stunning gardens. Everybody we encountered was welcoming, friendly and helpful - special shout out to the porters. Already planning our next visit. Thank you for a lovely stay.

It was a lovely old(ish) building that we stayed in, giving a very ‘Oxford’ kind of experience. The porters were superb. The room itself was not the fanciest, being quite institutional, but what else can you expect from a student room? The most important part, the bed, was very comfortable. We also enjoyed our self-guided tour around the college, but were sad to see much of it was closed off

Location and access to the beautiful historic university grounds were a special and very nice experience. Everything was easily within walking distance. Reception and check-in at the porters lodge was fantastic. We got a glimpse of what it's like to be a student in Oxford. Overall experience was very nice and we will hopefully come back.

Outstanding experience room was basic but as expected and very clean. Bed was super comfy. The porters are great. The college buildings are absolutely stunning and I felt super privileged to have a key fob to open the doors after visiting hours!

There weren't enough toiletries (body wash, etc) for 5 nights. Other than that, excellent value for money
