From South of Portugal
The best way is A1 which connects Lisbon to Porto (313km), but there is another West alternative with less traffic in some areas and a different landscape, starting in Lisbon with A8 and A17 (321km).
From Porto to Vila Nova de Cerveira
A quick journey of about 1 hour and 15 minutes depending on the route you choose. If you choose A28 (105km), the cost of tolls will be reduced but it is likely to encounter some traffic because it is a route very close to the seafront. However, you will enjoy the magnificent landscapes. After crossing the bridge near the city of Viana do Castelo, follow the sign A28 Caminha, and at the end of A28 enter the N13. Continue on N13 passing by Vila Nova de Cerveira and keep towards Valença, and 7km out of A28 you will find Hotel Minho on the left side of N13.
If you choose A3 (124 km), you will also find some traffic in the first 30km, but then enjoy the lush landscape which features Minho, passing by Braga and the oldest town of Portugal, Ponte de Lima. In the course of A3 we recommend the trip to the end of A3, last toll in Valença do Minho, and you must leave at the second exit indicating Vila Nova de Cerveira through N13 and traveling about 4 km you will find Hotel Minho on your right.
Another option is to leave A3 where there is a sign indicating Vila Nova de Cerveira / Paredes de Coura, and get down the mountain through the dense and magnificent vegetation in a constant winding asphalt.
From the Porto Internacional Airport
From the International Airport of Porto (OPO), located at 102km from Cerveira, go through A28 highway (direction Viana do Castelo) or A3 (direction Braga). The Airport is a modern and well-equipped infrastructure, with regular flights to over 60 destinations.
By Air:
At the airport it is possible to rent a car, require taxi transfer, take the underground (Metro do Porto) to the central station, or go by bus to Vila Nova de Cerveira to reach Hotel Minho.
By Metro and Train:
Direct connection to Campanhã Station by Linha Violeta
The Campanhã train station is the central station of the city of Porto where you can go to anywhere in the country by train.
Rail connection: from Campanhã to Vigo, leave at Vila Nova de Cerveira station or Valença do Minho station, and once you get there the best will be to require an existing taxi from the station or contact Hotel Minho who will ensure that you will have a taxi waiting for you at the station.

From the airport to Vila Nova de Cerveira the taxi ride costs around € 120.00.
By Bus:
There are several connections by bus towards the center of Porto where you can get to Campanhã station to make the trip by train to Vila Nova de Cerveira. However the most practical way is the bus connection from Sá Carneiro Airport directing Vigo, which makes a stop in Valença do Minho, at 7km from Hotel Minho, where you should ask for a taxi in the station or contact us at +351 251 700 245 and the Hotel Minho ensures that you have a taxi waiting for you at the station.The bus trip lasts about one hour and fifty minutes and does not take place on Saturdays and Sundays.
