Magdalen College, Oxford

This is very basic accommodation but fine for the price. Shared toilet/shower along the corridor, kettle and coffee in the room. Highlight was "bottomless" breakfast in hall and a stroll around the college, which is undeniably beautiful. Staff very pleasant and helpful. I'd definitely do this again for a one-night visit.

Loved the rooms. The porters provided clear instructions. The only negative was housekeeping insisted on changing the mattress in the single 'within walls' room at 9.00 in the morning- it's ok to disturb students during term time but paying guests should be left alone!

Reasonably priced, clean and suitable for a nights stay. Porters really friendly and helpful. Breakfast not included in price but available at the college and was lovely. Could look around college after checkout and it was beautiful.

very pleasant experience, porter staff was super friendly, room was spacious and clean, the grounds are beautiful and great location! Bathrooms would benefit from an update, though they were clean and good enough

The guys at the Lodge were lovely. The room is well located. Basic but clean and well maontained. Comfortable bed. Hot water in the shower. I was visiting a friend + ot was just perfect.

It was fine for a cheap place to sleep. The porters were very helpful and efficient. Very basic rooms but that was all I needed. Very handy for the city centre and Cowley Road.

Perhaps the facilities could be updated a little, but great value for money, had everything I needed and both the porters and housekeeping staff were all lovely
