Visión general

Clare College is the second oldest of Cambridge’s thirty-one colleges. It was founded in 1326, and generously endowed a few years later by Lady Elizabeth de Clare (Lady de Burgh), a granddaughter of King Edward I (1272-1307).

We have three sites at Trinity Lane (Old Court), Queens Road (Memorial Court) and Chesterton Lane.

At Chesterton Lane we are pleased to offer single or twin en suite bedrooms with continental breakfast during September only.

The room greatly surpassed my expectations, I booked a single room and I stayed in a big twin room with en-suite bathroom. Wi-fi worked perfectly and I was capable to send big files to my co-workers. The location was great for my purpose, but a bit far away from the train station. The only down side was breakfast, as it was continental breakfast with small variety of products. Overall, my stay was very pleasant.

We were most impressed with the helpfulness and courtesy of the porters at Chesterton Site. The whole atmosphere of the college was one of peace and tranquility. I would certainly recommend it to an of my friends who are travelling in your area during a summer break.
