breakfast was not included in this booking but the overall impression was excellent. We were surprised that the rooms were all en-suite and towels were provided this was not clear on the website. Although basic and with shared facilities, I always enjoy staying at university halls outside of term time as they are a cheaper alternative to overpriced hotels. And add that the university also benefit from getting some money from what would otherwise be an empty room. Ifor Evans Hall, Camden, London

Very comfy bed, central location, helpful security and superb breakfast made up for the concrete-floored shower block. Anyway, the showers were hot, powerful and clean. Bargain. Would stay there again. Carr-Saunders Hall, Bloomsbury, London
