Visión general

En el dialecto toscano “Canto” significa “en el rincón” y también hace referencia a los famosos poemas de Dante.

B&B Al Canto se encuentra en un barrio tranquilo en la zona sur de Florencia. Está a sólo tres minutos a pie del parque del río Arno; A cinco minutos a pie de la línea ferroviaria metropolitana que lleva al corazón de la ciudad en minutos; a tres minutos de la parada de autobús, que te llevará al centro de la ciudad en 15 minutos; y a sólo 5 minutos del acceso sur a la autovía.

Hay cinco amplias habitaciones con baño privado, TV y aire acondicionado. Cuatro de las habitaciones dan al patio central y al jardín. También hay un par de estudios con cocinas totalmente equipadas para estancias más largas. Hay aparcamiento gratuito disponible en las inmediaciones.

Sus anfitriones son Franco, arquitecto, y Linda, historiadora de arte canadiense.

Ella estará encantada de ayudarle a organizar su visita a Florencia y otros sitios de Italia, ya que está familiarizada con muchas de las maravillas secretas de la ciudad y los tesoros artísticos que Italia tiene para ofrecer.


Historia

It is said that Dante actually visited this house, whose origins date back to at least the 12th Century and probably even to the dawn of the Middle Ages.

The building was lovingly restored in 2010 respecting both local tradition and the unique environment. Guests will be able to see glimpses from the past, including a door probably dating from 1200.

Comida y bebida

A continental breakfast is included in the price and served from 7.00am to 9:30am in the large dining room: yoghurt, cold cuts, cheese are also available, and we try to accomodate any individual requests.

It is possible to make tea and coffee in the rooms.

There are several excellent restaurants within walking distance, as well as 2 cafés.

There is a small garden and courtyard, perfect for children to play in and for adults to relax after a day of museums. It is possible to have breakfast outside when weather permits.

Al Canto is a 5 minutes' walk from the suggestive Arno River park, as well as from the Pazzagli Sculpture park.

By car: from the motorway A1 exit Firenze Sud and follow signs to Florence centre. After crossing over the Arno river, stay in right-hand lane and turn right at the stop light. At the next stop light turn left onto Via V.E. Orlando and drive to the next stop light and turn right in Via Aretina. We are 340 Via Aretina, just after a red IMA sign.

There is free public parking.

From Florence and Pisa airport: take a bus to Santa Maria Novella Station and then the bus 14, which brings you to a stop near the B&B Al Canto. 

Please note that tourists visiting the city of Florence will be requested to pay a Tourist Tax of €2.00 per person per night, for a maximum of 10 consecutive nights. This tax is not included in the price of the room and must be paid directly at reception upon arrival.
