Westcott House, Cambridge

I loved the atmosphere and it was an oasis of tranquility in a very busy City. My room was on the top floor and was pretty hot! It was also apparently the smallest of the single rooms and I had to move the desk every time I needed to open or close the curtains and the window. Very handy for the kitchen opposite and I am very grateful to whoever left the ice cubes in the freezer. Great shower room and the gardens are lovely to sit in. Will definitely return - maybe to a bigger room.

The weather was warm during our stay, and the duvet was too hot, even with the windows open. It would be helpful if there was some alternative – we ended up taking the duvet cover off, and sleeping under that, which felt a bit basic. A good night's sleep makes all the difference!

I really enjoyed my stay at Westcott House. Everyone was very kind and helpful, my room was comfortable, clean, and quiet, and the gardens were full of beautiful flowers. An altogether wonderful experience!

Clean , quiet and functional Decent shower Friendly helpful staff No unnecessary sundries that would triple the cost. (Cambridge is full of overpriced hotels )

Very lovely Uni room in a gorgeous setting. Basically perfect. V. minor point - could have done with a bedside lamp.
