Historia

The Best Western Valley Hotel is a Grade 2 listed building built during the 1750s and pre-dates the famous Ironbridge. Some rooms are situated in the old house, and some rooms are located in the one time servant quarters and stables have been absorbed by the main hotel to provide Mews style accommodation, accessed by glass-covered walkways.

Over recent years the hotel has undergone extensive improvements, but the original maws tiles can still be found in the hotel reception area and staircase ensuring the character of the building has been retained.

Hotel Bar

The Hotel Bar provides a perfect setting for enjoying an alfresco drink on the terrace before and after dinner. The Bar offers comfortable and relaxing surroundings in which the A La Carte menu can be perused before dinner, where coffee can be taken after a meal or simply enjoyed for a drink.

In addition to a good selection of wines and aperitifs, local real ales are available along with a range of speciality coffee.

The Bar Menu is available from 12.00 until 2.00pm weekdays.

Chez Maw Restaurant

Situated in the heart Ironbridge, alongside the River Severn, providing the perfect beauty spot to enjoy the stunning surrounding scenery whilst dining, the restaurant invites guests to enjoy a stylish Modern British fine dining experience, with a chic, yet relaxed atmosphere.

The A La Carte menu offers a wide variety of dishes with English and Continental influences, with a good selection of vegetarian dishes available. The achievement of 2 AA Rosettes for the last 11 years, provides confirmation of the consistently high standard of cuisine.

Chez Maw Restaurant is open for lunch Monday to Friday 12.00 noon to 2.00pm and for evening service from Monday to Saturday from 7.00pm to 9.30pm and Sundays from 7.00pm to 9.00pm.

Afternoon Tea

In addition, the hotel also offers Afternoon Tea for guest to enjoy. The sumptuous afternoon tea will be served either in the Chez Maw restaurant or on the hotel terrace overlooking the park. Tuck into a selection of savoury and sweet treats as, whilst taking sip after sip of a preferred beverage, be that tea or coffee, or a glass of bubbly.
