Historia

Hay-on-Wye is the ideal place to take a short break. When you want a truly relaxing holiday than just a few moments 'walk away you need to look no further than the world-famous bookshops and boutiques. If you want a more enjoyable break, take advantage of the splendid position of The Swan at Hay, nestled between the Black Mountain and the Brecon Beacons. It's just moments away from the 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' in The Wye Valley and less than half a mile away from the Dyke Footpath in Offa. Comida y bebida

Breakfast is served Monday-Sunday 8.00am-9.30am and consists of a full Welsh breakfast and all food is locally sourced.

The hotel has two restaurants: the Garden Room, which serves dinner in the summer and Sunday lunches, and the bistro which serves lunch and evening meals. The hotel also has a garden ideal for summer al fresco dining. Being fortunate enough to live in an area providing some of the finest food and ingredients available in the United Kingdom the aim is to create dishes where at least 80% of the ingredients are from a local source. A typical menu will include Herefordshire beef and Welsh Marches lamb served alongside fruit and vegetables from the gardens and orchards of the Wye Valley. The restaurant times are everyday from 12.00pm–2.00pm and 7.00pm–9.00pm. The hotel also caters for private dining and there is a selection of rooms available for private dinners from 6 to 100.

Otras instalaciones

An ideal venue for small and medium-sized conferences and business meetings, the hotel has gained an excellent reputation for hosting management training workshops, team-building events and company parties. It is the perfect location for a meeting, as it is in a quiet countryside, yet is within easy reach of main motorway networks (M4 and M5).

Set in the Welsh Marches, on the Herefordshire/Powys border, it is a wonderful setting for your wedding with Georgian elegance and romantic gardens. The hotel is also licenced to hold civil ceremonies in The Garden Room, overlooking the walled garden.
