Glenn College, Bundoora, Melbourne

History

Glenn College was the first of the buildings to be constructed for La Trobe University at the Bundoora site. The College hosted 500 students in it's first year in 1967 and hosted the first graduation ceremony in 1969 in the Dining Hall.  The College is named after Sir Archibald Glenn OBE, the first Chancellor of La Trobe University.

Food & beverage

Rooms have limited self catering facilities such as a microwave and access to boiling water. Tea and coffee making facilities are also included.

Breakfast vouchers are available for guests to self select breakfast from one of our many food outlets in the Agora retail precinct close by on campus. Please purchase these when you make your booking.

There is a Bistro located within the College which is open for lunch on weekdays (for an additional charge).

There are vending machines located within the College grounds and free BBQ facilities. The local shopping precinct, Polaris, is approx 15 min. walk from the College and has a large supermarket and smaller speciality stores.

Grounds & Gardens

Glenn College surrounds a central courtyard with seating and many trees. Directly in front of the College is the Simpson Lawn, a popular spot to picnic during the day and summer evenings.

Other facilities

Internet is available at reception on request for an additional $20 per room for the duration of stay.

Next to the College is the La Trobe Sports Centre, featuring an indoor pool, full gym, fitness classes, tennis courts, squash courts and more - casual rates apply.

Large groups can be catered for by prior arrangement through the Glenn College Dining Hall which seats over 300 guests. Smaller groups may wish to organise group meals through the Glenn College Bistro which caters for groups up to 50 in it's recently refurbished venue.

Parking is available to the rear of the College grounds or secure parking is available at $7 per room. Luggage minding can be arranged through reception prior to check out.
