World Land Trust
Rainforest And Wildlife Conservation
We believe in the benefits of tourism for the built and natural world: by spending money to visit wonderful places we give local communities and governments another reason to protect them. But this benefit is restricted to places that are visited, and there’s the carbon footprint to consider also. We therefore give a small contribution from every booking (at no extra cost to you) to World Land Trust, an organisation that has saved more than 750,000 acres of threatened habitat from deforestation or development by creating protected reserves. Sir David Attenborough, the British Naturalist, said “The money that is given to the World Land Trust, in my estimation, has more effect on the wild world than almost anything I can think of." Every year we help Nature Kenya to save some of the last 10% of the coastal forests of eastern Africa with species such as the Clarke’s Weaver and the Golden-rumped Sengi. So, by booking through SpeedyBooker, you are contributing to this success story: thank you for your support. To date, we have donated enough to protect 13 and a quarter acres of threatened habitats and their wildlife! |
