City Park Apartments was built in 1895. The present owners have been here since 2002. I was asked to join the family in September 2015.
I jumped at the chance to work in such a friendly environment. From day one I was made to feel like one of the family and I try really hard to pass this on to everyone that stays here. Our rooms are small and cosy, each room has tea and coffee making facilities . TV/DVD player and free Wi-Fi. Ironing board and iron on request.
We are lucky to be situated very close to the City Centre but it's quite peaceful here. So much is in a very short walking distance.
The Mayflower Theatre is 100 yards away. The Sea City Museum 100 yards walking distance and The 02 Guildhall 5 minute walk.
There are so many different places to dine. There are the normal pubs of course alongside a wide variety of different cuisines.
We have a Caribbean restaurant/cocktail bar called Turtle Bay. Gusto Lounge just around the corner which serves freshly cooked and well prepared food of a continental nature . Tapas Bar . Pie and cider Bar . Buffalo Bills again just around the corner next to a fine Thai Restaurant.
The Ageas Bowl is 3.7 miles. The Airport is 2.4 miles. Woodmill Activity Centre 2.4miles.
The High Street and West Quays shopping centre is again only 7/8 minutes away everything that you need for a city break is all conveniently on our doorstep.
Southampton has a lot of History too .It was once a walled City and some of this remains today along with The Bargate which was the entrance to the old town . There is the Tudor House Museum along with The Old Merchants House.
We are only a short train/car journey from the Cathedral Cities of Salisbury and Winchester.
Romsey is about 7 miles out of Southampton where there is a Memorial to the War Horses of World War 1.
