Overview

Recently renovated, its origins unknown, Foxlow Coach House is thought to be an original Derbyshire longhouse.

Situated down a private gravelled lane behind mature trees, with a large garden to the rear, a peaceful night’s sleep can almost be guaranteed.
With access to open countryside literally minutes from the front door this Bed and Breakfast is ideal for both walkers and cyclists; a hose is available for washing bikes which can then be stored in the lockable shed, and packed lunches are available by prior arrangement.

Free wifi is available throughout and television is available in the spacious yet cosy upstairs lounge which boasts exposed beams and an inglenook fireplace.

Bedrooms are light and airy with generous storage space having either a walk-in or a fitted wardrobe, and en-suite shower rooms. Fresh milk is provided for the hospitality trays.
Just over a mile from the town centre, with a bus stop close by and ample free parking on site, access to town is easy on foot, by car or by bus.

Buxton is an ideal base for exploring the delights of the Peak District National Park be your preference the high moorland of the Dark Peak or the more gently rolling limestone dales of the White Peak. Grand houses such as Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are within easy reach, as are Castelton, home of the world famous Blue John mines, and the ‘plague village’ of Eyam.

Alternatively, enjoy a scenic train ride into Stockport where you will be amazed by a visit to the underground tunnels built as air raid shelters during World War Two – a perfect outing for a rainy day!
Buxton itself presents plenty of opportunities, the Pavilion Gardens regularly hosting antiques fairs, craft fairs, book and toy fairs, and Poole’s Cavern is a short walk from the centre of town.
Buxton Opera House, an Edwardian gem, has a varied programme of entertainment throughout the year and every July hosts the Buxton International Festival. In addition, Buxton now has its own cinema.
