Geoff and Phil welcome you to Lower Crankan Farm. Built in 1790, the farmhouse is located in a lush valley just 2 miles north of Penzance in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
It is a working smallholding with chickens and a small herd of Belted Galloway cattle, horses and happy Harry, the dog.
Our comfortable ground floor guest room looks onto a pretty garden and has a very comfortable king size bed, en suite wet-room, flat screen TV (Sky) and a DVD player with a selection of films available upon request. On the first floor, there is a king bedroom and a double bedroom. These two room share a bathroom so they are suitable to book together for a small group of friends or family. Please check to ensure the Granite Room is not already booked by a single party prior to your reservation. Hill View room cannot be booked for a single party, whereas the Granite Room can and will then have private use of the bathroom.
There is free Wi-Fi throughout the house, and plenty of available parking. If you are leaving the mainland to travel to the Isles of Scilly, it may be possible to leave your car with us for a small charge, and we may be able to assist with transport to/from the airport/heliport/ferry services. Either way, our home provides ready access to all the local attractions in Penwith.
Breakfast is continental style and content varies from day to day and includes fruit juices, tea, coffee, Cornish cheeses, cold meats, hard-boiled eggs (freshly laid by our own hens) and of course homemade bread.
Other home-grown produce is included according to season. Anything left over can be taken as a packed lunch. We love our food – so we are also able to give up to date recommendations on where to eat according to taste and budget as well as advising on places to visit.
