We are located on the edge of the village of Bampton and is a lovely destination pub and restuarant with rooms. And is the perfect base to explore our gateway to Exmoor and beyond. Bampton itself has its own heritage centre and we have over 70 listed buildings/features for you to enjoy, including two red telephone boxes !!.
From the bar we will love to give plenty of reasons to keep visiting us so we ensure we’re always bringing interesting new lines into our cask and craft ranges. Our great drinks offer won’t be complete without the right drinks to enjoy so we have an extensive range of wines & spirits. We have three log burners one which sits in the original inglenook fireplace. The property was built in 1495 as a farmhouse, and it still retains some of the most beautiful original features .
From the kitchen we pride ourselves on our food and have a wide range of traditional English favourites together with mouth-watering daily specials for you to explore. Food is available lunchtimes and evenings not forgetting our delicious Sunday Roast. Whether you’re looking for a light snack at lunch or a full evening meal our pub provides the ideal setting. If you are planning on dining with us please call to reserve a table as we do get fully booked.
Our newly refurbished boutique rooms each offer their own charm, and have been individually named to reflect the history of our stunning surroundings. We have also allocated several of them to be dog friendly. We do charge a flat rate of £15.00 for this ( max of 2 dogs per room )
