Chesil House is situated in Bournemouth town centre and adjacent to other Halls of Residence. Within walking distance of the beach, shops, bars, restaurants, The Old Firestation and the main railway station, and the central bus station makes this the ideal location to visit.

Offering modern and comfortable single ensuite accommodation in self-contained 5 or 6 bedroom flats.

Food & beverage

There is a mini supermarket situated next door to the Chesil House building.

There are numerous bars, restaurants and shops nearby the property. Vending machines are available selling drinks and snacks.

Grounds & Gardens

The seven-mile-long beach is only a twenty-minute walk away from the accommodation. Go down there for a stroll or to take part in one of the many water sports available. The New Forest National Park with miles of unspoilt ancient landscapes, wild ponies and deer, disused railways and leave lanes offer plenty to do for a day out.

Other facilities

All rooms are equipped with a desk and study chair, wardrobe, bookshelf and free Wi-Fi. Guests are welcome to use the communal areas which have free to air TV, games consoles and pool tables and IPads. 

An on-site launderette is equipped with washers and dryers (for a small charge).

Demonstration kitchen for educational and social use and numerous areas for study are available.

By Car: Chesil House is in the heart of Bournemouth, just minutes away from the town centre. 

By Train: Chesil House is easily accessible via public transport. The train station with trains connecting to London, Southampton airport and other destinations, such as Birmingham and Manchester, is only a five to ten minute walk away.

By Air: Southampton airport is the nearest airport and is only a 30-minute train ride away. The train station is right outside the airport entrance/exit. All major London airports are within easy reach via train from Bournemouth.
