Westminster College buildings were built in 1899 by the Presbyterian Church of England, to replace their existing one in London. The move to Cambridge was largely at the urging of two remarkable twin sisters, Margaret and Agnes Smith, whose portraits now hang in the main dining hall. The college is a Grade II listed building. Almost all the original work survives, with modern facilities sympathetically introduced.
The College is today a Theological College affiliated with Cambridge University with some 50 students; mostly training for ministry in the Church.
The cottages are self-catering, and although breakfast is usually served daily within the main college dining hall, it is currently not available due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Many restaurants, cafés and shops are within easy walking distance.
The cottages are located within the back gardens of the college. The gardens are furnished with picnic benches and guests staying in the cottages are welcome to use the grounds subject to availability.
Free wireless internet connection is available, and codes are provided as part of the check-in paperwork.
Access to the coin-operated launderette facilities may be available by prior request.
Travel cots are available free of charge for children 2 years or under who are staying with their parent(s). When making a booking, please do so without including the child in the age category and comment in the Additional Information section of the booking form if a child will be present, and if a travel cot is required. *Please note that bed linen for the travel cot is not provided and guests will need to supply their own.
There is sufficient space in the bedroom for one travel cot but not two. Please note there is no space for a travel cot to be set up in the Lounge area.

Westminster cottages are a delightful haven tucked away behind the college. When not in use by the college guests, it is lovely to stay there. This is our fifth visit. So close to town, with a beautiful walk in or via the Backs. Especially good to get away for a few days after our last lockdown. RosemaryH 11/05/2021

Need a mattress pad on the sofa bed. You can feel the springs. Do you want us it was not comfortable ( we used for our 8year old child) but it would easily be made more comfortable LindaB 04/10/2021
