Overview

Part of the Dublin City University, within College Park Apartments the rooms are spacious and you can choose between single or double rooms. All of the rooms are ensuite and you can avail of the comfortable and spacious living room, where you can relax and unwind. These apartments are not self catering. There is no kitchenware or cutlery but guests can use the microwave, oven and toaster provided.


Food & beverage

The hot buffet breakfasts are either served in the main restaurant or the 1838 club. The 1838 derives its name from the the old agriculltural college which was opened in this year. The reclaimed wooden tables, long elegant windows and dark wooden floors add character and ambience to the room.

For lunch why not try Zest which offers filled bagels, soups, salads and starbucks coffee. For something more substantial the restaurant on campus also offers a range of hot and cold choices.

The NuBar is also on campus and offers alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. With an outdoor beer garden, you can relax and watch the world go by.

Grounds & Gardens

DCU is adjacent to a large idyllic public park with football pitches and a playground. It's the perfect place for a long walk, a run or even a picnic.

The design of the campus and the bright modern architecture make DCU a vibrant and attractive place to stay.

Other facilities

For a small fee you can relax and unwind in the University Sports club which encompasses the health, wellness and sports centre. Facilities include a 25m swimming pool, fitness centre, squash courts, indoor sports halls, aerobics and spinning studio.

Complimentary WIFI is available in all of the apartments and across the University campus. WIFI codes can be obtained from reception.

You can also catch a show in the beautifully designed Helix Theatre. Whether it is an opera, play, music or something for the kids, there is something to suit everyone!

There is a storage room available to leave luggage. It is located outside the reception area it is locked. Please keep in mind that this is available for guests who have evening flight and want to leave their suitcases for few hours. It is not possible to store luggage overnight or for a few days.

Please report to reception upon arrival to collect your room key. The reception is open from 7.30am - 10.00pm every day. After these hours keys can be collected from security.

Airport Transfer

For guests or delegates staying in Campus Residences the most convenient way to DCU from the Airport is by Taxi payable by the student, a journey of about 15 minutes. Please ask the driver to take the Ballymun entrance into the campus. For anyone who wants to use public transport from the airport to DCU the following buses are available: 16A, 41, 41A, 41B, 41C. You should have the exact fare ready.

From the Airport By bus: Airlink Coach Service No. 747. Dublin Bus Routes: 16A, 41, 41A, 41B, 41C, 46X, 58X, 746. Bus timetable information on Dublin can be found on the Dublin Bus website

From Outside Dublin by Car: From south east (N11) use Eastlink, East Wall Road, Clonliffe Road, Drumcondra Road. Turn left at the Whitehall/Collins Road junction and DCU is 500 metres on the left. 

From other directions around the country, use the M50 (including Westlink if applicable). Come off the M50 at the Ballymun exit (Junction 4) and drive through Ballymun, turning left at the Collins Avenue/Ballymun Road crossroads (approx 500 metres). DCU and the multi-story carpark is 200 metres on the right on Collins Avenue. 

From Dublin City Centre by Car: Follow the airport road which takes you through Drumcondra and turn left at the Whitehall/Collins Avenue junction. DCU is 500 metres on the left. It is also possible to drive through Phibsborough towards Glasnevin, turning into the Ballymun Road. DCU is on the right hand side of the dual carriageway, but you will need to drive further on to the Collins Avenue/Ballymun Road junction and turn right in order to avail of the multistory carpark (DCU is 500 metres on the right). 

From Dublin City Centre by Bus: Bus Eireann Routes: 103, 105, 11, 116, 11A, 11B, 13A, 19A, 46X, 58X, 77B, 746. Bus timetable information on Dublin can be found on the Dublin Bus website

By Dart: The nearest Dart stations to the university are Clontarf and Killester. They ensure that the university is accessible from all areas on the Dart line, including those south of the city. These two particular stations are regularly serviced by the 103 bus which stops on Collins Avenue.
