Pollock Halls is seasonal campus accommodation located at the foot of Holyrood Park and offers safe & affordable bed and breakfast accommodation over the University's summer vacation, with over 2000 rooms available.

Each room on the campus features a telephone, free Wi-Fi, and shared laundry and pantry facilities. Some rooms also offer in room tea/coffee, TV and a safety deposit box. All rooms are serviced on weekly basis and linen and towels are provided.

Pollock Halls is just 1.5 miles from Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station and the historic Old Town, where guests can find the Royal Mile, the hub for many of Edinburgh’s festivals.

In the mornings, an extensive breakfast is offered in the self-service restaurant at John McIntyre Conference Centre. This is just 5 minutes’ walk from the rooms.

Further local amenities include an ATM, a general shop, and a dedicated 24-hour reception centre. The limited free parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. The property also offers 18 parking spaces for electric vehicles.

From 21st August, contractors will be on-site to complete essential pipework within the Pollock Estate, which may result in noise at times.

Apologies for any disturbances this may cause.

Access routes to certain buildings may be temporarily restricted but alternative walking routes will be clearly signposted.

Contractors will be onsite between the hours of 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Friday.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Overall excellent service. My room was comfortable with nice extras such as the fluffy bathmat and towels. I had a comfortable mattress and clean bedding. The shower room was small and dated but served its purpose. I missed having no kettle or facilities for a cup of tea and not having hand wash for the washbasin in the room. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Location was ok, a little too far from town for a single female to walk back. My room seemed expensive, but it was during Fringe.

Very pleasant stay in beautiful campus. Helpful and friendly staff in reception, dining area, bar and housekeeping. Spacious room, with good natural light. Excellent bed and mattress. No kettle in room and no cups, plates or cutlery in kitchen. Toilets were in need of an upgrade and toilet doors were too thin (I was across the corridor from a toilet and could hear everything). The toilet doors banged very loudly, so need to be changed to soft closing ones. All door hinges need oiling!

I was delighted to book my stay in Edinburgh with you. It was a last minute decision - to be in the city, during one of the busiest months of the year. I was pleased to find you on the internet and appreciated all the facilities offered, and I enjoyed having sumptuous breakfast and dinner at the campus. Many thanks for your hospitality!

All good, a very easy and comfortable experience. Could have been cheaper, I was sharing a toilet/shower etc) but i appreciate that the festival is on and 'markets are markets'.

At breakfast servery, some meat items were behind non-meat items. So, when visitors serve themselves meat items, meat juices would drip on non-meat items. This should not happen.

Bathroom near my room not clean. Lift not working in Lee. Breakfast good. Reception good. Room not as good value for money as in the past

The accommodation was very basic, which was OK, but the bedding smelt a bits which was less pleasant. Breakfast was very good
