The Victoria League Student House, London (age 18 - 30 ONLY)

History

The Student House is run by the Victoria League for Commonwealth Friendship a not-for-profit organisation that formed in 1901 and named after Queen Victoria.  During WWII, the League provided Commonwealth Servicemen in the UK with accommodation and meals.

The League has provided student hospitality and welfare since 1927 and purchased the Student House property in 1953.

Food & beverage

Accommodation is offered on a self-catering basis. Shared kitchens are available to all residents and shared utensils, pots and pans are provided.

Grounds & Gardens

There is a terrace for all residents plus access to a shared private garden.

Other facilities

There are two music practice rooms (bookable with the House Manager), along with a study room, TV lounge and a table tennis table for all residents to use and enjoy.

There is a laundry room available to all residents. The cost of washing is including in the room rates however, residents must provide their own laundry powder/liquid. There is a charge of 50p per 15 minutes to use the tumble dryer which can be purchased in the office.
