Magpie Lane House (Oriel College), Oxford

It is a lovely, clean & well stocked space split into two levels over the 2nd & 3rd floors(3rd and 4th floor for an American).While it is very lovely, I do not recommend staying here during the warmest part of the summer as it is very hot up there & there is no A/C. I’m sure during cooler weather that it is a much more comfortable space.I kept the shades drawn during the entire stay to try & keep the place cooler.Perhaps the suites on ground flr and the 1st flr would be a better choice in summer

My stay at the Magpie Lane House was very pleasant. The check-in process was easy and the porters at the Porters' Lodge were helpful and accommodating. The room was comfortable and clean and very conveniently located. I would certainly stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at 3 Magpie Lane -- room 2 -- the location was so wonderful, being close to both High Street and the Oxford campus. The room was cozy and we loved the shortbread treats. We would definitely stay again.

Excellent location just off the high street. 24 hour reception and left luggage was extremely useful
