St Anne's College, Oxford

I have already filled in a College questionnaire. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the ensuite bathroom worked. (All too often they begin to show signs of age rather quickly.) The staff in the dining room were especially friendly and helpful, and the range of food at breakfast was very good. I did leave a note suggesting they might invest in mugs, which would quickly pay for themselves in second-cup teabags! There is a good range of restaurants fairly close for an evening meal.

From arrival to departure our visit was great. The porters couldn’t have been more helpful and informative; the rooms were comfortable, very clean and well equipped with a hospitality tray, toiletries, hairdryer and iron/small ironing board. Breakfast was included and offered cooked and continental options. With luggage storage available at start and end of our stay and just a short stroll to the city centre, it would be difficult to find fault. We will definitely be back!

The overall experience was nice. The room and food were good. The only drawback of the room experience was the lack of a hair dryer on the first night I checked in. However, the receptionist was responsive and helped me get the hair dryer on the second day.

I found St Anne’s to be a practical place to stay and the room and food were excellent. I think my booking was under a summer promotion which made it affordable. Otherwise I could not have afforded it, even as a university researcher.
