I have used Wolfson College guest rooms (as a member of the MCR) for many years. The rooms are always immaculately clean and and well presented. The amenities provided are sufficient and well thought out, including fluffy towels - perhaps rare in an Oxford college! The lodge and support staff a...

Lovely college and nice grounds. I wish I had studied here when I was at Oxford. So friendly. Only slight gripe was the behaviour of other guests in the shared kitchen. This is not the fault of the college. I would love to return with university rooms - if my publication record was up to st...

No instructions of how to open door from the block to get out.... reception told me i should have pressed button on the wall, but why doesn't it say that by the door?? Also no information about how to get breakfast? Are you allowed to take the cereals from the cupboard, or do they belong to someone

This is a good value option for staying in Oxford. The rooms are student study bed rooms, but there is the benefit of an en suite. Although a little bit further out than other colleges, Wolfson is in a peaceful and idyllic area, right on the river and it is very relaxing and easy to get into town.

I had a very comfortable peaceful short stay at the college. The staff in the Porters Lodge were very helpful. The situation of the college adjacent to the Cherwell River is delightful, very serene.

Good experience. Lots of building work going on at the college, but understand that this is for the good.

Very peaceful and quiet, lovely setting by the river and the nature reserve.

Arrival information & directions

Address: Wolfson College, Linton Road, Oxford, Oxfordshire, OxfordOX2 6UD, United Kingdom

Please enquire on booking for early check-in or late departure; they endeavour to accommodate requests where possible. Luggage store is available (at guests' own risk).

There is 24-hour access and Lodge staffing, although guests are asked to advise if arriving after 11pm, so that the Night Porter can arrange his rounds accordingly.

The College is approximately 2 miles from Oxford Rail Station and the coach station at Gloucester Green. Taxi fare from either will cost around £10.

Both of the local bus companies (numbers 2 and 14 buses) run a service from the rail station and from Magdalen Street  near the coach station, where you can also catch the Water Eaton Park and Ride (number 500) bus. Not all buses run on Sundays, ask the driver for the St Margaret's Road stop.  From there, it takes 5 minutes to walk to the College at the bottom of Linton Road.
