University Residence

Wycliffe Hall is a theological college and permanent private hall of the University of Oxford, located next to the University Parks and a short walk from the centre of Oxford, the Ashmolean and Pitt Rivers Museums.

Accommodation is available in ensuite bedrooms or single, twin or family standard rooms sharing unisex bathroom facilities. All rooms are provided with bed linen and towels. 

There are no lifts in the building, and access to the reception is via steps. Unfortunately, due to a policy implemented by the University of Oxford, the Hall is unable to offer internet access to guests.

Very friendly and welcoming. Location is ideal for centre and Summertown. Rooms are basic as you would expect but clean and comfortable. Showers are clean and powerful!! Breakfast is basic but plentiful and good. Would happily recommend and stay again.

Everything was good for somewhere to rest your head. Rooms and shared bathrooms were clean. Only downside was that the room was very warm which made it difficult to sleep.

Please check in at Reception at 54 Banbury Road for all rooms. Reception is open between 9am and 10pm Monday - Friday and 2pm - 10pm Saturday - Sunday. 

On arrival and during your stay, the following procedures will be in place for your safety:

  • No more than one household in Reception at any one time
  • Face coverings to be worn by all guests over the age of 11 at all times in public areas
  • Hand sanitiser is provided for your use on entry to the Hall
  • Social distancing of 2m should be maintained with anyone outside your household
  • Keys will be sanitised in advance and placed in a sealed envelope
  • You will be asked to confirm that neither you nor any member of your household have any symptoms of Covid-19 and you have not been asked to self-isolate
  • You will be required to scan the NHS QR code on the Covid-19 app on arrival and at breakfast each day
  • Parents travelling with children are asked to supervise their child at all times when in the Hall

The bus station and railway station are both located about 20 minutes walk from Wycliffe Hall. Taxis are available at both; the journey should take 5-10 minutes (depending on traffic) and cost under £10.
