Overview

The River Finn rises in the Bluestack Mountains in central County Donegal, Republic of Ireland. It drains a cross border catchment area of 500 km2. Most of the Finn catchment is in Ireland, with a relatively small portion in Northern Ireland. The Ivy Bridge & Annich beat is one of the more beautiful and productive sections of the Finn notably for salmon, with the historic 1760 packhorse bridge and iconic Cloghan Falls salmon leap nearby. Guests will fish the Annick beat on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. They will fish the Ivy Bridge beat on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Either beat can be fished on Sundays. There is a maximum of three rods on each day.

Why you need to fish here

The Glenmore Rivers fishery is divided into three beats and an open water section. This listing allows anglers to book two of these Beast. The Ivy Bridge beat runs from Ivy Bridge (marked 16 on the Glenmore Rivers beat map) down to the Chapel footbridge (marked 9 on the map). The Annick beat is the upper river which runs from where the Strahabouy stream enters the Finn above Bonners Pool (marked 26) down to the disued railway bridge below Annich road bridge (marked 17). The other beat is known as Killygordon and there is also an Open Water section: these two areas can be booked on FishPal via the Glenmore Rivers: Killygordon & Open Water listing.
