Overview

An independent, family run hotel in North West Cornwall nestled into the valley in Mithian, St Agnes. The hotel is a perfect base to see the best of what Cornwall has to offer from surfing on the north coast to sailing on the south, visiting the Eden Project to watching a show at the Minack Theatre, you will be spoilt for choice.

With twenty-two rooms which are designed for comfort, with ornate Georgian architecture and modern conveniences for 21st Century living the property has a choice of bedrooms, from double rooms and twins, single rooms and luxury suites which have views of the woodland and garden to spacious ensuites with deep baths to relax in.

The hotel has a few ground floor rooms and facilities for the less mobile with a ramp to the reception, level access to the gardens, the solar heated pool and restaurant.

History

Originally a Cornish longhouse comprising two cottages dating from circa 1650 which now houses the bar and snug. The Georgian frontage was added in the 1800s, the house still retains its charm and original features.

Food & beverage

No meal plan is included, giving you full flexibility.

Guests can indulge in delicious fare created by the team of chefs using the best locally sourced Cornish ingredients. The onsite restaurant serves breakfast, Cornish cream teas, traditional Afternoon Teas and evening meals. The kitchen can cater to special dietary requirements, please let the Hotel know prior to arrival.

The dress code when dining in the restaurant is smart casual.

Grounds & Gardens

Guests may wander around the 10 acres of garden or take a swim in the seasonal solar-heated outdoor pool.

Each Room has individually controlled central heating, beverage tray, television, telephone, hairdryer, complementary toiletries, iron & ironing board, Wi-Fi and ensuite bathroom in every room. Room service and laundry service available.

Directions:

By Car: Via the A30 South through Cornwall. At Chiverton Cross roundabouts take the 3rd exit at the first roundabout and then the 3rd exit at the second, this is the B3277 signed towards St Agnes. After 500 metres turn right at the tourist information direction sign to the Rose-in-Vale. This will take you into Mithian, turn right at the Miners Arms, down the hill and you will find the Hotel on your left at the bottom of the valley.

By Air: Direct flights to Newquay from Gatwick, Manchester, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Norwich. For further information go to www.newquaycornwallairport.com.

By Train: Via Truro railway station, 7 Miles. Please note the property will arrange transport to meet you on request.
