The Blue Bell at Cocking, Midhurst

Breakfast at The Blue Bell is a very handy 'to go' style offering which is available in your room from check-in. Items include yoghurts, fresh fruit, porridge pots, granola flapjacks, cartons of Orange juice & bottled mineral still and sparkling water. We find our early riser hikers and cyclists love the option to take these items for a long day ahead. Packed lunches can also be ordered when you arrive. We do not provide a cooked breakfast.

The Blue Bell at Cocking is a community pub and rooms. Our newly refurbished premises are bright and modern in appearance inside and out. We offer 3 well-priced, comfortable, stylishly furnished bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, 2 twins and a double. The pub area downstairs serves proper homemade pub grub, local ales, and a good choice of wines and spirits, food is not available Tuesdays between November & April. Food service hours are: Wednesday - Saturday 12:00-14:30 and evening meals 17:30-20:00, with Sunday lunch 12:00-15:30. Bar Service is 12 to 21.30 Wednesday to Saturday and 12-1700 Sundays. This may be extended during busier months.

This part of Sussex is popular with walkers enjoying the South Downs National Park, cyclists exploring West Sussex, and many other visitors enjoying the wealth of local attractions, including Chichester, Petworth and other places of interest, all within easy reach. We are also very close to Goodwood, home of such renowned annual events as the Festival of Speed, Glorious Goodwood horse racing, and the Revival.

We have onsite parking, and a mini shop with essentials. There is a half hourly bus service between Chichester and Midhurst stops right outside our door. The same bus stops at the South Downs Way east and west access points at the top of Cocking Hill. We have bike racks and a cycle repair station on our site and garden seating with views of the Downs.
