Our home is a fine and quiet accommodation that has been called B&B Casa dei Tintori because the original structure was built at the beginning of 13th century as a big textile factory for the weaving of wool and fabrics.

Today it is a charming B&B with the entrance at Corso dei Tintori, 33, in Borgo di Santa Croce district, which was the area where all the ancient craft shops belonging to the tradition of Arte dei Tintori were concentrated.

The B&B is situated in a strategic position to reach and visit all the symbols of medieval Florentine Renaissance and which make Florence one of the most desirable destinations of the international cultural tourism.

In the B&B Casa dei Tintori you will be welcomed as great guests.

The B&B has 5 wonderful rooms, which are large and elegant, equipped with private bathroom, air conditioning and furnished with antique furniture and fabrics, as per the colors of the Florentine tradition of Arte dei Tintori.

Storia

The B&B Casa dei Tintori was born after a renovation of an antique medieval home in Florence's historical centre in order to offer a wonderful holiday following the best tradition of hospitality in a family to all lovers of medieval Florence.

In the centre of the house, in the breakfast room, every morning we offer a rich breakfast with quality products: fresh pastries, milk, espresso, chocolate, tea, toast, fruits, yogurt, mixed cereals, honey, jam and butter.

We can also provide gluten-free and diabetic breakfast. And if you want something special, just ask!

How to reach the B&B:

From Santa Maria Novella train station

  • By taxi
  • By bus: Line 23, direction “Nave a Rovezzano” or “Sorgane”, get off in Corso dei Tintori. You will find yoursef just right in front of the B&B.
  • By foot, in roughly 20 minutes following this route: exit from the station, cross the square and turn right in Via de’ Cerretani and continue until you reach Piazza del Duomo. Once you pass the Duomo, continue in Via del Proconsolo and then continue straight in Via dei Leoni. At the crossroeads with Via de’ Neri, turn left and continue until the traffic light at the crossroads with Via De Benci, from there continue straight entering Corso dei Tintori. Casa dei Tintori is at the number 33.

From Amerigo Vespucci Airport

Take a taxi or a shuttle bus which in roughly 20 minutes will bring you to Santa Maria Novella Station.

Please note that tourists visiting the city of Florence will be requested to pay a Tourist Tax of €2.00 per person per night, for a maximum of 10 consecutive nights. This tax is not included in the price of the room and must be paid directly at reception upon arrival.
