Panoramica

Residenza d’Epoca Corte dei Principi is located in the heart of Florence, in a building from the 1800s. Set in a unique environment, just few steps from the central station and from the most characteristic monuments of the city, the residence offers to its guests rooms equipped with all the comforts (TV, telephone, air conditioning, minibar).


Storia

Corte dei Principi is situated in the Porta al Prato district. This is one of the oldest gates of the city, dating back to 1285. Like the other city gates, it was lowered in 1526, to be less vulnerable to the attacks from the new artillery and was, on the occasion, covered with a lodge with the roof, on the top there is a metal weather-vane sign. The inner bezel has a fresco, now badly damaged, of a Madonna and Child with Saints attributed to Michele di Ridolfo.

Breakfast is served in the breakfast room and offers from the classic croissant to cakes, both traditional and home-made, to cooked egg, ham, yogurt, orange juice, cereals, biscuits, rusks, jams, butter, milk, cappuccino, coffee and tea.

In the surrounding area there is the most famous park of Florence, the Cascine, where during the summer is possible to swim in the swimming pool or relax in the green, take a long walk along the river Arno or enjoy the summer with parties and various entertainment.

From Santa Maria Novella Station you can reach the residence in few minutes walking.

From Florence airport you can reach the residence in 20 minutes by taxi or taking a bus direct to Santa Maria Novella Station and from there walking.

Please note that tourists visiting the city of Florence will be requested to pay a Tourist Tax of €2.00 per person per night, for a maximum of 10 consecutive nights. This tax is not included in the price of the room and must be paid directly at reception upon arrival.
