Staunton House

There's much to see and do around Staunton House, a classic Georgian rectory close to the Welsh borders near the romantically creaky bookshops of Hay-on-Wye and the immense castle at Ludlow. In the heart of the Black and White Trail country, take long leisurely walks to Offa's Dyke and The Marches or see Hereford Cathedral in all its splendour. The house itself oozes charm: think antique furniture, floral prints in the bright and airy bedrooms and long elegant dining table for home cooked dinners. There's a rustic looking kitchen serving local produce and veggies from the family's well-stocked garden and a rather plush drawing room to enjoy a glass of wine.
