Tasman Bed and Breakfast, Pickering

The rooms are individually decorated in a contemporary style. All rooms have en-suite facilities with toiletries. The bedrooms have a seating area with two armchairs and all the double beds are at least king-sized. All rooms benefit from free WiFi, a fully stocked tea/coffee tray including specialty teas, biscuits and home-made cakes, a TV with DVD player, hair dryer, trouser press and spare blankets.

Breakfast is served in the guest lounge. Tasman provides a traditional home-cooked English breakfast or a variety of alternatives including Greek yoghurt with toasted almonds and spiced berries with yoghurt and crumpets. Sausages, bacon and black pudding are sourced from the Castle Howard farm shop.

Tasman Bed and Breakfast offers walking and cycling activities for guests. Steam railway enthusiasts can visit the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, with Pickering Station, the southern terminus of the railway, located just a 5-minute drive away. The North York Moors National Park is 8 minutes' drive from the property, and guests can visit Dalby Forest, which is 20 minutes' drive away.

Guests wishing to see historic sites can visit Castle Howard, which is 30 minutes away by car, and Eden Camp Museum, 16 minutes' drive. The Yorkshire Coast is 19 miles from the property. The coastal towns of Whitby, Scarborough, and Filey with their multitude of visitor attractions are 40 minute drive away.

The are great opportunities for dining from fine dining a high quality restaurants, including a Michelin starred restaurant, to cosy pubs to traditional Fish and Chip restaurants. The local pub the Middleton Arms is a 1 minute walk away. It offers a cosy pub meal experience.
