Great location and for what we paid it was great. Only downside was check out time of 9.30. When you've gone for a night out and don't get back until 2.00 it's a bit early to check out when most places are 11.00 (Review Of Sumner House, Chester) Sumner House, Chester Mike T

Positives. Excellent value for money. Rooms basic but clean. Staff manning the reception very helpful. Negatives. Wanted to change double bed to twin but no contact number and wasn't able to make any changes on speedy booker website if more than 24hours since made initial booking (Review Of Sumner House, Chester) Sumner House, Chester Jacqueline K

Sumner House is in an ideal position for access to the town centre, city walls and the bus station. The reception staff are excellent and provide immediate help with any query. The beds here are the most comfortable out of anywhere else I’ve stayed - it’s the only place where I don’t miss my bed at home! Stayed for one night as was going out in Chester for a friend's 30th. The room had everything I needed and facilities were great.
