Summary

Christ Church, one of Oxford’s largest colleges, offers a unique opportunity for members of the public to stay in student accommodation.

Introduction

Located in the heart of the city, Christ Church is conveniently close to museums, shops and restaurants. If you are visiting Oxford during the Easter (March/April) and Summer (July, August, September) holiday periods, why not stay as guests of the college?

The buildings of architectural and historical interest reflect the differing centuries since the college’s foundation. There are no lifts in any accommodation staircases, with some bedrooms up several flights of stairs, making them unsuitable for those with mobility needs. We have limited number of ground and first floor rooms, so if you have any access requirements please include the details in the additional information box at the time of booking.

Christ Church offers rooms for single or twin occupancy. Ensuite bedrooms have their own basin, shower and toilet within the room. Standard rooms have their own basin but shared bathroom and toilet facilities. Please note: you may have to go up or down two or three flights of stairs from your bedroom to the nearest facilities.

We are unable to accept bookings for Stag and Hen groups and we can only accommodate adults (aged 18 and over). This includes babies/children sharing a room with adults. (If such a booking is made you will be asked to cancel it and an admin fee will apply).

It was my longtime dream to stay at Christ Chuch.I was so happy. When I could have a breakfast in the Great Hall,I felt like as if being in a dream. The quiet college after tourists have returned, beautiful choir songs in the Cathedral, and a breakfast in the Great Hall.Everything is amazing.Thank you so much. Akiko

Our stay at Christ Church college exceeded my expectations, which were really high to begin with. As guests, we were able to visit many locations that were either closed to the public after a certain time or required payment to access. We wore lanyards with fobs to show that we were welcome in the areas we were exploring. The people working in the Lodge where we checked in were very accommodating and informative. The rooms were grand and comfortable. I enjoyed imagining what it might feel like to be a student at Oxford. We attended Evensong on a Friday night, and I think we were the only tourists in the church. Breakfast in the Great Hall was a fantastic experience, with a delicious hot English breakfast and a continental breakfast spread, surrounded by paintings of famous Oxford grads. If we hadn't stayed at the college, I don't think we would have been able to attend Evensong, breakfast, or access certain gardens. I plan to rent rooms here again if I ever return to Oxford. Highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Christ Church College Oxford. We would stay again if possible and would recommend others to do the same.
Mr Raymond G

A fabulous experience and a privilege to stay at the college. The staff deserve a particular mention for their friendly and helpful manner. Would have no hesitation to stay there again, and would strongly recommend colleagues and friends also stay at the college if on a visit to Oxford when rooms are available out of term time.
Mr John M

Overall a very enjoyable experience, and particularly appreciated an ensuite room overlooking the Meadows.
