Colegio Mayor Galileo Galilei is a student residence located on the Polytechnic University of Valencia campus. The residence is in fact considered to be one of the best in Spain - the excellent facilities and personalised service make this an ideal place for long-term accommodation for students, as well as shorter stays of a few months or just a few days.
Light and airy rooms are available most with balconies in either single or twin ensuites and include bed linen, large built-in wardrobes, desk(s), chair(s), bookshelves and air conditioning. The rooms are large enough to include additional beds or cots. Rooms also have a private phone with wake up service, internet connection, mini-fridge (on request) and TV connection.
Important notice: Upon arrival, guests over 30 years old must show the Hostelling International card.
Guests who do not have such a card must purchase it at the following link: https://goo.gl/tbDwAC for a supplement of 5 euros if they are under 30 and 10 euros for 30 years or more.
This hall of residence is open to the university community during the whole year. That includes students, teachers, investigators, administrative personnel, etc. Plus, it operates as youth hostel, being a member of the Valencian Network of Youth Hostels (REVAJ), the Spanish Network of Youth Hostels (REAJ) and the International Youth Hostel Federation (IYHF), currently known as Hostelling International (HI). In case of not being part of the education or university community, to provide the REAJ youth hostel card or any other certificate validated by that association or HI, will be requested at your arrival.
