The Crown & Kitchen, East Linton

The Crown and Kitchen was taken over by current owner Billy Robertson in 2013. The site, which had been a bar for many generations, lay closed, and Billy and his family poured time and effort into transforming it to a vibrant, friendly, welcoming establishment.

The Crown and Kitchen have dedicated their entire food service around locally sourced ingredients. At The Crown and Kitchen you will find a core menu with classic dishes such as fish and chip and beef brisket with black pudding Stovies. The chef’s really get to shine through the specials menu which changes daily, depending on what local ingredients they source. While they stock a wide range of Scottish Ales and craft lager they also have a large selection of single malt whiskeys and gins. There is no better place to relax and unwind after a long day, than to sit in front of the real open fireplaces in the winter, or soak up the sun in the summer months in the outside courtyard, where you can also pick up a bite to eat from the Louisiana Grill, and a cold pint of Heverlee from the bar.

Billy has now converted the rooms above this chic bar and restaurant into bed and breakfast accommodation. The five beautifully appointed double bedrooms, which can also be made into twins, can be booked out individually or as a whole for, golfing, cycling and walking parties. There are also 2 beautiful self catering cottages that can sleep up to 6 guests that are available to rent. They are 100 yards walk from the Crown & Kitchen and ideal for golf parties

The high-spec rooms have luxurious bathrooms with rainfall showers and roll top baths, and the rooms are equipped with coffee machine, televisions and super-king size beds. All the rooms are slightly different with the overall décor being chic, stylish and contemporary with traditional features.
