Überblick

Lypiatt House Hotel is a stylish Victorian property and is situated in its own quiet gardens, only a 3-minute walk from the exclusive and fashionable area of Montpellier where there are lots of restaurants, bars and smart shopping.  

With contemporary décor to enhance the traditional features, this hotel has everything guests would need to make a relaxing weekend or weekday stay. The guest rooms all come with en-suite well-equipped bathrooms.

 

Managers are always available from 7am-7pm to make any restaurant/taxi reservations or offer help and advice to guests wanting to tour around Cheltenham and the Cotswolds.


Geschichte

Lypiatt House was built around 1887 as a very large Victorian Villa. The hotel is set in its own grounds and sits amongst the very elegant Georgian Squares and Crescents, built in the Regency period for wealthy Georgians visiting the Spa waters in Cheltenham, and so Cheltenham became a tourist destination some 200 years ago. It still retains it's period history and beautiful buildings, giving the town an air of traditional style with a new contemporary touch with a great nightlife and top shopping.

Essen & Getränke

Breakfast is included in the price of the stay. Good choice of fresh fruits, cereals, juices and plenty of cooked options for the second course. The Lypiatt offers a spacious elegant drawing room for communal use by the guests with a conservatory alongside where you will find an “honesty” bar for those who wish to enjoy a drink.

The main shopping area is within walking distance from the house where a large selection of restaurants can be found.

Directions: Leave M5 at Junction 11 follow A40 into Cheltenham. Guests will pass G.C.H.Q. on your left at Benhall. Stay on A40 through a residential area of town, after several sets of traffic lights you will come to a large oval roundabout with a Texaco garage on it, take a right just past the garage, then an immediate left into Andover Road, straight on for 400 yds past Tivoli shops on right. Lypiatt Road is first left (sharp) and Hotel entrance is 50 yds on the left.

By Rail: Cheltenham Spa Train Station is a taxi ride from the hotel.
