The Stables

Geschichte

The Stables was bought by great grandparents of the current owners, whom had a love for fishing and already were fortunate to have the Upper Blackhall beat. The beat was originally purchased after the great grandfather has lost his wife and two of his three children in the Guard's Chapel Bomb in London in 1944. After this traumatic event, friends had suggested he pursue his fishing passion and enjoy the beauty of the Royal Deeside. 

Since The Stables and the river beat Upper Blackhall have been continually enjoyed by the family year after year, and in the last 20 years has been enjoyed by many other families who continue to return for their annual holidays. 

Essen & Getränke

Included in the price is the time for the Housekeeper Jenny to give daily clean, breakfast layup and preparation, picnic lunch preparation. Furthermore, you also have included the time for Joan the cook to prepare you dinner if you wish. 

The food and drink cost is not included, and it is recommended guests book a Tesco delivery in advance. 

You also have Banchory Lodge Hotel in the village to enjoy meals there too. However, most guests thoroughly enjoy being looked after at The Stables, or perhaps some are more DIY where the kitchen is a lovely big space and well equipt. 

Grundstücke und Gärten

The house has a beautiful garden at the back, big enough for games such as Croquet or Badminton. There is also a bbq and seating should you be lucky with the weather. The river beat attached also has two fishing huts with log stoves, and a bbq there should you wish to enjoy that at the riverside (5 minute drive from the house / or 20 minute walk).
