Churchill College, Cambridge

We are so happy with our stay and would choose the college over any hotel. The Porter was friendly, efficient and went out of their way to make you feel welcome. The grounds were gorgeous and it was such a wonedrful environment, as well as being very quiet and secure, with easy near by parking. The room was thoroughly clean, comfortable and with everything we needed: fridge, welcome back, free refreshments. The breakfast was truly outstanding in every way.

A very good experience, thank you. I was provided with free food and accommodation by the Churchill Archives Centre as a 50th anniversary conference attendee, so it was excellent value for money for me, but the accommodation was nonetheless easily accessed, clean, comfortable and functional, except for the hand basin taps in need of repair. I have made my responses on the basis of being a paying user of university standard accommodation.

We arrived after midnight and the porters were extremely welcoming and helpful. But unfortunately our room had not been prepared - dirty sheets on the floor, bed not made, etc, so we had to go back to the porter, who was most apologetic and immediately gave us another room. After that all was well - comfortable bed, lovely surroundings, excellent breakfast.

Nice spacious room and good bathroom in interesting building on lovely college grounds. Check-in/out very straightforward and parking available. Arrived to breakfast at 9.20 to be told it was finished! After requesting a refund some croissants were prepared for us and we found some fresh fruit and yoghurt and ended up with a nice breakfast.

Better than expected, and would stay here next time. Food choice beyond traditional English breakfast could be expanded to include porridge, yogurt etc. Would be nice, but maybe logistically difficult, to hire bikes from the college.

Very good experience as a visitor to Churchill College. We were able to access our room early on Saturday. We could park our car nearby in the College Car Park. Breakfast on Sunday morning was good.

A gorgeous place, with a pleasant atmosphere. Great location on the outskirts of town, but only 15mins walk from the center of Cambridge. In the future, I'll be staying here any time I'm in Cambridge.

I really enjoyed the busy feeling of the college. My room was great, with the big window. Just a very enjoyable stay.
