The Lane Hotel was built in 1871 and was once a grand Victorian house. In 2017 the house was transformed into a luxurious boutique hotel with eleven bedrooms designed to accommodate all your needs.
The property is located in the south of Edinburgh, only 2 miles from the city centre.
Our eleven bedrooms rooms are all unique, each with their own individual style and decor. All rooms have tea and coffee facilities and a small seating area. Each bedroom has a spacious ensuite bathroom with three of our rooms featuring a walk in shower and bath.
There's a small snack room in the hotel where all guests can help themselves to treats or cold drinks throughout their stay.
The Lane Hotel has a small private garden at the back of the property with a beautifully decked terrace that can only be accessed by our luxurious Garden Room, with comfortable seating and the right amount of cover. It's perfect for relaxing in the evening.
The Lane Hotel is owned by the Kerr family, over the years the house which is now The Lane has been passed down through the Kerr family for generations and is located next door to the families famous bar and restaurant, the Canny Man's. The Canny Man's is set across several quirky rooms and is home to over 250 malt whiskies, it is perfect for lunch, dinner or drinks.
