Aperçu

Connaught Hall propose un hébergement estival abordable et confortable pour les visiteurs en plein cœur de Londres. Situé dans le quartier de Bloomsbury, Connaught Hall se trouve à quelques pas de la British Library, du British Museum et du Senate House. Grâce à son emplacement central, la plupart des principales attractions, monuments et la Tamise sont accessibles à pied ou en quelques minutes en bus ou en métro.

Le Connaught Hall propose des chambres simples avec salles de bains communes dans un rapport de 5:1 et comprend le petit-déjeuner.

Veuillez noter que des travaux d'entretien auront lieu pendant l'été, ce qui rendra certaines zones de la salle inaccessibles aux clients.

Le petit-déjeuner sera servi au College Hall, Malet Street, Londres WC1E 7HZ.


Histoire

Connaught Hall was established by HRH Prince Arthur, the Duke of Connaught, the 3rd son of Queen Victoria, in 1919, at Torrington Square. He gave the Hall to University of London as a gift in 1928 – the university naming the hall after him as a sign of appreciation. The Hall moved to its current pleasant location to a splendid Georgian terrace with a grade II listed façade overlooking the greenery of Tavistock Square Gardens in 1961.

Breakfast is included in the room rate and consists of a variety of options, including a traditional full English breakfast which is served 7 days per week.

Vegetarian options are available, however other special dietary requirements cannot be catered for.

Breakfast will be served at College Hall, Malet Street, London WC1E 7HZ.

Breakfast is served Mon-Sun 8.00am-9.30am.

Drinks vending machines are available for guests use.

There is a small open air shopping mall at the end of the street with fashion shops, supermarkets and a patisserie. Bloomsbury is packed full of trendy bars, restaurants and cafes. Due to the area`s diversity and culture, you can experience tastes from all around the globe.

On arrival you will need to check-in at the reception desk in the hall, which is manned 24hrs a day.

By Car: If you are driving please be aware that the hall does not offer parking facilities and it might be difficult to find a space on the street. The nearest NCP car parks are on Woburn Place and on Bloomsbury Place. Please note that central London operates a Congestion Charge zone between the hours of 7am-6.30pm Monday to Friday, excluding Public Holidays. The current daily charge when entering the zone is £11.50, to find out more and how to pay please visit the following website www.cclondon.com.

By Train: Euston Station, King’s Cross, and St Pancras national rail / mainline stations are all within 5 minutes’ walk. St Pancras is also the main Eurostar terminal for international connections to Paris and Brussels. A taxi could cost between £5-£10 from these stations to the residence.

By Air: Trains from Gatwick Airport and Luton Airport run to King`s Cross Station from the airport and the Piccadilly line on the underground connects all Heathrow Airport terminals with King`s Cross Station as well, making in very simple to travel to the hall.

By Tube: The closest tube stations are Russell Square, Goodge Street, Euston Square, Euston Station and King`s Cross St Pancras. By Bus: There are numerous buses available in the area as well, including night buses. The closest stops are on Gower Street (29, 390, 10, 14, 24, 134), on Russell Square (59, 68, 91, 7, 168, 188) and Euston Road (73, 63, 205, 30).
